Technical Support Restrictions Policy
Version 1.0, effective 7 August 2026.
Selgeo provides technical support to help Merchants and Partners use the Platform lawfully and safely. We do not provide assistance that would help a user evade sanctions, export controls, asset freezes, payment-provider restrictions, verification controls, or other legal restrictions.
1. Scope
This policy applies to support and assistance provided through:
- email, contact forms, demos, onboarding calls, and account-recovery requests;
- integration help for the API, JS snippet, webhooks, and Stripe integrations;
- Workspace, Programme, referral link, promotion code, Commission, and payout-export support;
- documentation, troubleshooting, migration guidance, and configuration review.
This policy applies together with the Terms of Use,Partner Terms of Use, and theSanctions Compliance Policy.
2. Requests we will not support
Selgeo support will not help any user to:
- evade, avoid, or circumvent sanctions, asset freezes, export controls, or trade restrictions;
- bypass account blocks, compliance review, verification requests, country restrictions, or payment-provider controls;
- configure Workspaces, Programmes, referral links, promotion codes, attribution flows, APIs, webhooks, Stripe integrations, Commissions, or payout exports for sanctioned persons, entities, goods, services, territories, or transactions;
- conceal or misrepresent identity, beneficial ownership, location, country of residence or registration, sanctions status, payout recipients, source of funds, or transaction purpose;
- move activity to another account, Workspace, Merchant, Partner, Stripe account, domain, API key, or integration path to avoid sanctions or compliance controls;
- restore, export, route, or manipulate data in a way that would facilitate sanctioned or restricted activity.
3. Restricted support scenarios
We may refuse, limit, pause, or escalate support where a request involves:
- a potential or confirmed match with sanctions lists;
- a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction or a country, region, product, service, or counterparty subject to applicable restrictions;
- attempts to change account, Stripe, payout, tax, country, ownership, or domain information after a compliance restriction is applied;
- requests to disable, bypass, or work around verification, fraud, abuse, sanctions, or audit controls;
- technical patterns that indicate account sharing, proxy use, location masking, or circumvention of access restrictions;
- instructions from Stripe, a regulator, a court, law enforcement, or another competent authority.
4. What support may do instead
Where a request raises sanctions or compliance concerns, Selgeo may:
- ask for additional verification or business-context information;
- provide neutral public documentation that does not help bypass a restriction;
- decline to provide implementation details, troubleshooting steps, account-recovery help, migration support, or configuration advice;
- restrict or disable affected functionality, including live mode, API access, Stripe integrations, promotion-code creation, payout exports, or account access;
- preserve relevant records for audit, fraud-prevention, legal, or regulatory purposes;
- escalate the request for compliance, legal, security, Stripe, or regulator review.
5. No legal or sanctions advice
Selgeo support can explain Platform functionality and our published policies, but it does not provide legal, sanctions, export-control, tax, or regulatory advice. Merchants and Partners remain responsible for obtaining their own professional advice and complying with the laws that apply to their business, customers, Partners, products, services, and payout arrangements.
6. Appeals and mistakes
If you believe a support restriction was applied in error, contactcontact@selgeo.com with the account email, Workspace or Programme details, and the reason you believe the restriction should be reviewed. We may request additional information before taking further action.
7. Updates
We may update this policy as the Platform, sanctions laws, provider requirements, support processes, or risk controls change.
